Born in 1951, she is 67 years old with ten children. She lost her husband in 1991 when her oldest son was 12 years. She had no one to help with raising the children, nor was anyone the breadwinner. Family and friends helped them as much as they were able, but life was very hard for so many years.
Today Hamin lives with her only daughter; all nine sons have married and moved on. Life always includes loss, but Hamin saw loss so early and had no way to make her situation better on her own, reliant on others for sustenance was emotionally crushing. She has never recovered from this experience, but keeps a positive attitude as much as she can.
