Dr. McGroarty is an internationally recognized expert in global health, nutrition, infectious diseases, emerging infectious diseases, molecular virology, public health, immunopathology, epidemiology and tropical medicine. He is also an expert in health biosecurity and intelligence, pandemic preparedness and response management, emergency and crisis response, disaster management and disaster response, climate change adaptation, capacity and resilience building and he has led the G7 Governments global emergency response team for the last 31 years. His expertise extends to humanitarian relief for natural disasters, disease outbreaks, conflicts, risk assessments, risk mitigation, refugees and IDP’s, recovery and large-scale development programme management and coordination across countries and regions. He is a senior technical advisor and strategic analyst for disease outbreaks, disasters and conflicts to global governments and has worked in 105 countries to date.
Dr. McGroarty is the Chairman, Managing Director and CEO of McGroarty International Health Consultants (MIHC) inc., the Chairman, Developer and CEO of Dynamic Phage Therapeutics (DPT) Inc. and Carbohydrate Fingerprinting Technologies (CFT) Inc., and the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Cambodian NGO, CORD.
