At the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, participating for the second time, with many more competitors, was the Refugee Olympic Team with 29 athletes from 11 countries, competing in 12 sports.
Even though the team consists of athletes from places worldwide, experiencing different realities, walking different paths, the International Olympic Committee (IOC), empowered the team to share the same dream and let the world see their courage and strength.
We at Bring Hope Humanitarian Foundation were truly inspired to see those athletes compete and support this symbol of inclusion to the international community, raising awareness about the magnitude of the refugee crisis. We share the same belief that all human beings are an enrichment to society and that we can always learn from each otherβs willpower.
We hope that this message to the world will continue to be passed on. Not only today. Not only tomorrow. But 365 days a year across the globe.
